Carpeting is an investment that can last for many decades if taken care of. Maintenance of carpet requires frequent vacuuming as well as an annual professional cleaning. Rough dirt particles can settle deep into the fibers of your carpet. Over time they will wear and eventually tear the fibers. This kind of damage is irreversible. Deep cleaning annually will flush the dirt and soil from your carpet before they get a chance to do permanent damage to the fibers.
CALIFORNIA CARPET CARE provides several safe carpet cleaning services to help you get the most out of your carpet. We hire only experienced professionals who are trained to customize the cleaning process to your cleaning needs. They use only safe, non-toxic cleaning agents and will leave your carpet looking, feeling, and smelling like new. Call us today for a free estimate.

Carpet Cleaning with Hot Water Extraction or 'Steam' Cleaning
Hot water extraction is also called "steam" cleaning although no steam is used in the process. A solution of hot water and detergent is sprayed onto the carpet under pressure. The high pressures flush out the dirt and soil and create a "dirty solution". This solution is immediately extracted by a wet vacuum system, stored in a tank, and later disposed of. This method is excellent for cleaning moderately to heavily soiled carpet. However, the technicians need to be careful not to over wet the carpet. Drying time is fairly lengthy, but slightly less than the shampooing method.
Carpet Cleaning with Shampoo
Carpet cleaning with shampoo involves using rotor brushes from which liquid cleaning products are introduced to the surface of the carpet and then foamed as the brushes scrubbed the cleaning product into the carpet. This method agitates the carpet to loosen the dirt and soil. The loose dirt and soil is then captured by the foam as it dries. Once dry, general vacuuming is used to extract all dirt and soil particles. It is best suited for low pile commercial carpet or low cut pile carpet that is highly soiled.
Carpet Cleaning with a Combination of Hot Water Extraction and Shampoo
As the name implies, this method uses the Hot Water Extraction method and Shampoo. This method is especially effective for cleaning highly soiled carpets, with heavy oil/soil build-up. The process has two steps:
- Shampoo using rotary brush to loosen soil
- Hot Water Extraction using water rather than detergent solution to remove shampoo
Carpet Cleaning with Foams
This method is similar to shampooing except that the liquid is turned into foam before applying it to the carpet. Once applied, rotary brushes agitate it into the carpet and, like shampooing, the dried foam is vacuumed up along with the dirt and soil. This requires even less drying time than shampooing, but the denser, less wet foam may not encapsulate dirt deeper in the carpet.
Carpet Cleaning using Bonnet Cleaning
This cleaning method is sometimes referred to as 'Dry Cleaning'. A liquid cleaning product is lightly distributed on the carpet. An absorbent pad is attached to a rotating buffer. The absorbent pad attracts the liquid along with the dirt and soil. Once the pad is dirty, it can either be replaced or cleaned and reused. One advantage of this method is that it dries quickly because the liquid is misted onto the carpet. In addition, because it is in liquid form, it does a good job of cleaning the top 1/3 of the carpet pile. However, because there is no flushing action or extraction, the method is insufficient for heavier grit and sand that can also accumulate and damage carpet over time. This method may be considered as an interim cleaning between more effective deep cleanings.
Carpet Cleaning with Absorbent Dry Compound
Dry compounds are dry sponge-like powders that are usually premoistened with a detergent, and a dry solvent. The compound is sprinkled onto the carpet and worked into the carpet pile by using a mechanical or hand brush. Once the compound has been thoroughly worked into the carpet, a vacuum is used to remove the powder and the soil that has attached to the compound. This method uses very little moisture, so it has an extremely short drying time. However, the technician needs to be careful to thoroughly remove the compound as it could cause future damage if left within the carpet.
In-Plant Carpet Cleaning
This type of Carpet Cleaning is ideal for specialized cleaning of loose or valuable rugs. The
rugs are sent through a duster which extracts soil more effectively than routine vacuuming. They
are then washed and hung to dry in a controlled air environment.
The Firm may also offer special service for repair of valuable rugs, using special equipment.
